Introduction to Drupal (9AM-5PM)
This tutorial is meant for new users who are brand new to Drupal and web content management. In this all day tutorial we are going to review basic concepts of web content management, and social publishing.
We will demonstrate how you can install Drupal locally on your laptop or how to get Drupal hosted through a low cost hosting services.
We will review showcase web sites including: Education sites, Non-profit sites, newspaper sites, media sites, government sites, and health care sites.
We will review content editing and basic content features like blogging, wikis, commenting, forum topics.
We will review how to add features to your website with Drupal's extensible plug-in features called modules.
We will review how you can take a stylish design and how your designs can be converted to a theme for your entire site.
We will overview project management for a Drupal site. We will demonstrate how to start simple and small and grow features organically and iteratively.
