Amit Asaravala

Biography

Amit Asaravala is an Internet technologies consultant, Web developer, and tech entrepreneur located in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is currently working on an education-related social network and is helping The Public Press transform its web site into a modern publishing platform.

He has also helped build dublit (dublit.com), where emerging writers can share their works in audio form; and Kinverge (kinverge.com), where families can set up private Web site for sharing photos, calendars, and more.

In addition to using Drupal for projects, he also contributes to the Drupal community by submitting patches, presenting at conferences, and serving as maintainer of the Search and Replace Scanner module.

Prior to going independent, Amit was in charge of editorial at TechSoup, a nonprofit that helps other nonprofits use technology wisely. He was also a staff writer for Wired News and the editor-in-chief of Web Techniques magazine.
